Option 1): The Medela Symphony Double Breast Pump Rental Package

The Medela Symphony hospital grade double breastpump Hire a Hospital grade Medela Symphony breast pump with special research-based 2-phase expression mode. Now available for use in your own home.

The Symphony™ is the first breast pump with 2-phase Natural Expression™ which mimics the natural suckling action of baby for a more natural and comfortable experience, Medela’s breakthrough two-phase pumping program offers an initial, rapid rhythm to promote "Let-Down" and then a slower, deeper rhythm for efficient milk expression.
The Symphony has both automatic and manual switching between pumping phases, based on your needs. The LCD Display indicates pumping phase, vacuum level, and other handling and service information.

For convenience, one knob combines vacuum level and the number of cycles per minute in the expression phase.

Option 2): The Medela Lactina Rental package

High quality Medela hospital grade double breast pump. A fabulous 'belt and braces' hospital grade pump with simple controls for ease of use. The Lactina's pumping action is almost identical to baby's natural suckling action but does not include the specially developed Medela 2-Phase system that the Symphony does (see above). Lactina's built-in vacuum release protects against excessive or prolonged suction.

HIRE CHARGES (both models)

The Initial 14 day hire period is £45.00 This includes delivery (outward & return by courier) and twin milk collection sets. Ongoing rental is charged at £45.00 for each 30 day period thereafter. Prices include VAT. Same charges for either model.

What are the benefits of hiring...

For long-term and regular daily expressing / pumping, we recomend the use of quality professional hospital grade hire equipment. Designed to be used multiple times daily or as often as you demand. Many of the small domestic pumps are not recommended or rated for more than occasional 'once a day use' or in the case of the larger models, perhaps several times a day. Given several weeks or months of heavy and extended use, a small overworked domestic pump may start to falter and may let you down - for this reason, mothers wanting to express full time / multiple times daily are advised to opt for this type of specialist high quality equipment, pumps which can safely be used 6 or more times a day without fear of failure. When your milk supply is essential for your babies needs, one should consider using the best equipment available. For such a low monthly cost, we consider the hire packages to be superb; if one was to consider purchasing a professional Medela hospital grade expressing package, it would require an investment approaching £1,300.00

If you are ready to place your hire request or even if you just need more info, you can use the contact form to the right of this page for fast booking / enquiry processing. Please ensure all boxes are filled (if you have to leave a box blank, please enter 'N/A'). Alternatively, you may place your order via telephone: 01380 871989. Staff are normally available to take your call between 9am and 2.00pm - please leave a message if we are not instantly available and we will call you right back.

Once you have given us your details, the hire rep will contact you to speak in person and answer any questions you may have and help you decide which pump and or accessories will be best for your needs. You will not be billed for anything unless or until you are ready to proceed.

Hire requests placed between 9am and 2pm weekdays with your full contact details including address and (importantly) a daytime contact telephone number. Orders received after 2pm will be attended to the following day or on Monday if received after 2pm Friday. Hire requests received during the weekend will not be processed until Monday am.

A hire representative will normally attempt to contact you (on the telephone number you have supplied) with further details same day (Excluding weekends).

All Hire Packages includes:

The first 14 days rental
A Powerfull Hospital grade breast pump unit of your choice: Lactina or Symphony.
A sterile pack of Two Milk Collection Sets (breastshields, bottles, tubing, etc)
Fast Courier delivery (normally next working day to your home), and return carriage charge (delivery required on Saturday is subject to a further charge, see more details below)
Ongoing rental is charged per 30 day period (You may of course, give notice to cancel whenever you are ready)

NOTE: You may specify alternative 'PersonalFit' breastshields to be supplied at extra cost (you can discuss such details when the 'rep' contacts you).

DELIVERY INFORMATION / AVAILABILITY:

1) Orders placed Monday to Friday before 2pm may be eligible for dispatch on a 'next working day' delivery service.

2) Orders placed Monday to Thursday after 2pm may be processed and delivered TWO days later.

3) Orders placed on Fridays after 2pm will normally be delivered MONDAY. Orders placed before 2pm Friday may have the option for delivery on Saturday but will be subject to an extra charge.

4) Customers requiring delivery of Breast Pump Hire equipment specifically on a Saturday please note that this will be subject to an additional charge of £30.00 for the special delivery service.

*N.B. During periods of exceptional demand, Symphony and / Or Lactina models may become temporarily unavailable and subject to a short delay. You will be informed as soon as possible if your hire equipment will be subject to any delay.

Susan says... I tried it as soon as it turned up & couldn't believe how quick it was. I left the house 20 minutes later thinking i'd forgotten to do something. I found that with my other pumps (I have 3 more) that I had to do a lot of breast compression to get all of my milk out, but didn't with the Symphony pump.
I wish I'd hired it weeks ago.

Its absolutely amazing I think everyone needs to know about these amazing pumps. Rather than struggle with "domestic" varieties - my milk supply has doubled which speaks volumes. I am now giving breast milk every feed and several are all breast milk and I am managing to freeze some too. Really, really great.
